Angle

The Angle is a unique visual challenging puzzle game where your goal is to guess the exact degree measure of a visually displayed angle. You use directional arrows and feedback tiles to deductively narrow down the value, which is always between 0° and 360°. It tests both your estimation skills and your logical strategy.

How to Play Angle

The core objective of the Angle Game is to guess the exact degree measure of a visually displayed angle within a limited number of tries.

Look and Estimate: Study the angle shown. Is it acute (less than 90°)? Obtuse (between 90° and 180°)? Reflex (greater than 180°)? Use the visible 90° (right angle) and 180° (straight line) markers as visual references.

Enter Your Guess: Type a whole number into the guess box (e.g., 45 for 45°) and submit it.

Check the Feedback: The game will provide two key pieces of feedback to help you narrow down the answer.

Strategy Tips for Newbies

Use Bounding Guesses: Your first two guesses should aim to bracket the answer and narrow the range quickly.

  • Start with 180° (a straight line). This immediately tells you if the angle is reflex (over 180) or not.
  • If the arrow is up (⬆), guess 270°. If the arrow is down (⬇️), guess 90°. This splits the remaining half into quarters.
  • Prioritize the Direction Arrow: The up or down arrow is the most powerful tool as it cuts your possible range in half (or more) with every guess.

Focus on the Closeness Tile: Once you get a Boiling Tile (meaning you are ±5° away), you can make very small, calculated guesses.

  • If you guess 100 and get ⬇️ + Boiling!🔥, you know the answer is in the set {95, 96, 97, 98, 99}. Your next guess could be 97° to split that range.
  • Look at the Visual: Train your eye to recognize key angles: 90° (a square corner), 45° (half of a 90°), 135° (a 90° plus a 45°), and 270° (three 90° turns). Use the grid lines or axis lines on the image as visual aids.
