CrissWord

What Is CrissWord?

CrissWord is a blend of a puzzle game and a crossword game. Its name pays tribute to the developer—Chris Ward. This title is a mini crossword with just two rows to solve, making it perfect for those who don’t have a lot of free time. You can relax with the game during your break time without taking much time.

The best part is that playing CrissWord is a great way to expand your vocabulary through synonyms and antonyms. Ready to take the challenge and have fun? Let’s get started!

How To Play CrissWord?

First, you will see 2 to 3 clues given by the game. They can be wordplays or phrases that describe the same or opposite meaning of the secret word. Your job is to find two 5-letter words that match both the provided hints and the colors in each tile. In particular, the letters in green tiles must be identical in both words, while purple letters can be different.

Some puzzles might have more than two possible answers. So, you have to figure out two pairs of words simultaneously, each pair corresponding to each clue.

Type in your guess in the bar at the bottom and click on the plus button to submit it. If the word turns red, it’s the wrong answer. Keep entering new guesses until you find the first solution word.

Once you figure out the first word, continue to the second and the third, if any.

You can change the color theme for a pop of color and boost the excitement in the game. It can be teal and green, orange and blue, purple and green, or pink and blue.

If these mini crosswords don’t satisfy you or you’ve missed a daily puzzle, don’t fret. You can check the five puzzles in the previous five days to solve more crosswords.

Tips For Playing

Here are some tricks to enjoy the game to the fullest:

  • Click on Reveal Random Letter to unlock a letter in the word. This gives you more hints, helping you solve the puzzle more easily. However, each clue revealed will take away your points.
  • Read the playing tutorial and examples that the game gives you carefully.
  • Use the provided hints to search on Google. For example, let’s say the first clue is “holy person.” You can search for a list of 5-letter words that mean/are opposite of “holy person.”
