Dodeku

Dodeku is a simpler variation of Sudoku. It's much easier because there are fewer cells to fill. It even includes black cells that help players eliminate potential moves. If you love number puzzle games and want to start with something simple before gradually leveling up to a more challenging experience like Sudoku, then Dodeku is a perfect choice.

Detailed Guide on How to Play

This is an interesting Wordle-like version using number cells instead of letters, combined with Sudoku-style gameplay. Let's start with a step-by-step experience.

Step 1 - Overview

Click "Play" to begin. The screen will immediately display a grid of cells. Some cells are empty and need to be filled, some are black (acting as blockers), and some already contain numbers. Below the grid are the numbers you must use to fill the empty spots.

Dodeku means 12. The grid is 4 cells across and 4 cells down. Subtracting the 4 black cells, which don't need to be filled, leaves exactly 12 number cells. Three cells are pre-filled. Excluding the 4 black cells, you must fill the remaining empty cells with numbers so that their sum matches the numbers provided around the grid's perimeter.

Step 2 - Fill the Empty Cells

You will need to use the given numbers by dragging them into the empty cells one by one. Pay attention to the numbers surrounding the grid—those are the target sums that the numbers you fill in must achieve. Any row or column that results in a sum matching the numbers on the grid's edge will turn green.

Step 3 - Calculate

It will be difficult for players to succeed immediately within the first few moves. Prioritize rows and columns that have fewer empty cells left to fill.

Also, during the calculation process, you can change the position of the numbers by dragging them with a mouse if playing on a desktop. There will be no color hints like in Wordle for each move.

You can only calculate your next move based on the color changing to green when you form a correct sum (matching the perimeter numbers).

Although the game does not limit your moves, it is best to have a strategy and plan your steps to win with the fewest moves used.
