Hollywood Stardle is a daily word puzzle game inspired by Wordle Nyt, but with a pop culture twist. The goal is to guess the last name of a star from film, television, or music in six tries.
Here is a detailed guide for beginners:
Type any name or sequence of characters into the top row, then hit the "Enter" key on either the on-screen or physical keyboard. The name you are guessing must be 6 characters long and belong to a Hollywood actor, singer, or celebrity.
After each guess, the tiles of the letters will change color to give you hints, similar to the original Wordle. The three main colors are:
| 🟩 GREEN | Correct Position | The letter is in the correct celebrity's last name AND is in the exact position. |
| 🟨 YELLOW | Correct Letter, Wrong Position | The letter is in the celebrity's last name, BUT it is in the wrong position. |
| ⬜ GRAY | Incorrect Letter | The letter is NOT in the celebrity's last name in any position. |
The key to Stardle is to use the color feedback to inform your next attempt.
Start Strong: Choose a first guess that uses very common vowels and consonants, for example, STARE or OILER. A combination of high-frequency letters (though not necessarily a word) to test the maximum number of letters, such as TRAILS (if the word is six letters).
Test New Letters: Your second guess should avoid all Gray letters from your first guess and try to introduce as many new, high-value letters as possible.
Think Hollywood: Remember the names are celebrities from film, TV, and music. This can help narrow down possibilities in later guesses, especially if the letters start forming a common structure for a last name (e.g., ending in -SON, -MAN, -ING, etc.).
Use External Tools (Optional): If you are stuck, you can use a blank keyboard/notepad to keep track of Green (fixed), Yellow (present, but not here), and Gray (eliminated) letters, which can be easier than relying solely on the on-screen keyboard.
