Ordlig

What Is Ordlig?

Language learners must have heard about the Wordle game at least once. Since its debut, it has transformed our language-studying sessions into more relaxing and entertaining times. You can learn many new words while still having fun. That said, this title is catered to English learners only.

What if you are pursuing the Swedish language? Don’t worry! Ordlig has got you covered! Its gameplay somewhat resembles Wordle, so anyone can play and learn from the game without hassle.

How To Play The Ordlig Game

If you’ve ever enjoyed Wordle before, playing Ordlig is a walk in the park. Initially, you will encounter a 6x6 grid, which means you have to figure out a 6-letter word within 6 tries. Select the letters on the virtual keyboard to type in your guess. Then, hit Enter to submit it. Remember to use valid Swedish words; otherwise, the system won’t accept your guess.

After that, the game will give you some hints by changing the color of each tile:

  • A green tile means you’ve successfully found a correct letter in its precise position.
  • If the tile turns yellow, you need to change its location in the next attempt.
  • When a tile becomes gray, you shouldn’t reuse that letter because it is not included in the secret word.
  • You only have one challenge each day, so it won’t be overwhelming for new learners. Whether winning or losing the game, a new puzzle will be available after midnight.

    Tips To Win The Game

It’s not about winning when playing an educational game. What matters is what you learn from it. So, don’t push yourself too hard. Instead, enjoy the game and value every new word you study each day.

If you still want a sense of victory and achievement, here are some tips for success:

  • Search on Google for a list of common 6-letter Swedish words to use for the first few guesses.
  • After receiving colored hints, you can also turn to Google for help. For example, let’s say a guessed word comes with a green letter A in the beginning and a yellow letter E in the middle. You can look for Swedish words that start with A and contain E. You can make guesses based on those suggestions.
