Rundle is a modified version of the classic Wordle game. The objective is for players to guess a dynamic 5-letter secret word, and they have an unlimited number of attempts to do so.
The first guess is the most important. A good starting word should maximize your chances of hitting Green or Yellow tiles.
Choose a word with common letters: Focus on high-frequency vowels and consonants. The most common letters in English words are: E, A, R, T, L, S, I, O, N.
After entering your first guess and pressing "Enter," examine the colors closely.
Example 1:
Guess: CRANE
Result: C (Gray), R (Yellow), A (Green), N (Gray), E (Yellow)
Analysis:
Your second guess should be informed entirely by your first guess's results.
Try to find the correct positions for your Yellow letters and introduce new, common letters to eliminate more of the alphabet.
If your guess is changed to a word that uses none of the secret word's characters, the game will trigger a complete reset to a new hidden word after the three screen-displayed attempts.
In essence, you must guess a fresh word with fresh clues; this is Rundle's defining attraction.
Continue to use the color feedback to narrow down the possibilities.
If you get more Green tiles, focus on trying words that fit the Green letters' fixed positions and move the Yellow letters around.
If you get many Gray tiles, your goal should shift to using letters you haven't tried yet to see if they're the missing letters.
If you have multiple Yellow tiles, systematically try them in the remaining open spots.
Your guesses will continue to be displayed. Pay close attention if the yellow, green, or gray characters change, as this signifies that the secret word has been altered. You must quickly change your strategy and think of a new, relevant word and direction.
