Java is an island belonging to Indonesia, located West of the famous tourist island Bali. Javanese is the primary language of the local people in Java. It is one of the most crowded tribes in Indonesia, so according to official research, Javanese is the most spoken language in this country.
However, there was hardly a word game related to Javanese until the Tlembung game was introduced to the public. In fact, it is a variant of the English-based word game Wordle NYT, or it can be seen as a Javanese version of Wordle.
This variant is among the rare games about the Javanese that learners can turn to and regard it as an exciting way to improve Javenese word sources or revise the already learned words.
Except for the difference in the word source, the Tlembung game almost resembles all the features and design of the Wordle NYT game. Players will have six tries to figure out the secret five-letter Javanese word. The place to submit their guesses is the blank grid in the center of the screen.
You can make your guess by typing a five-letter Javanese word in the grid and pressing Enter to submit the word. Notably, all the Javanese words in the Tlembung game are Latin, so you can use your normal keyboard to play the game without any further special signs.
After each submitted guess, you will receive feedback or hints from the Tlembung game. Hints will be displayed under the color form; you can check for their meanings here:
