Words Guessed

Are you ready to challenge your thinking and vocabulary skills? Words Guessed is the addictive 5-letter word game awaiting you, where you only have six chances to uncover the mysterious word.

With every guess, the system provides clues through subtly colored tiles, allowing you to eliminate possibilities and pinpoint the correct answer. Start now to train your brain, enjoy the puzzle-solving fun, and prove you are a word-master!

How to Play Words Guessed

Step 1:

Players must determine the goal of the game, which is to guess the 5-letter hidden secret word in six attempts.

Step 2:

Like some versions of Nyt Wordle, Words Guessed doesn't limit your number of gameplay. Each is a new word, and you have to:

Read the Hint: Take note of the provided hint or definition, which tells you the topic or meaning of the secret word.

Enter Your Guess: Type in a valid word of the specified length (usually 5 to 7 letters). Press Enter or click the check button to submit it.

Analyze the Clues: The tiles for the word you entered will change color. This color-coded feedback is your key to solving the puzzle.

Step 3:

The colors are the only information you get about the hidden word. Master these three clues:

Color
Meaning
Action
🟢 Green Correct Letter, Correct Position. The letter is definitely in the secret word and is placed perfectly. KEEP IT in that exact spot for all future guesses.
🟡 Yellow Correct Letter, Wrong Position. The letter is in the secret word, but it is NOT in this current spot. You must move it to a different, empty spot in your next guess.
⚫ Gray Incorrect Letter. The letter is NOT in the secret word at all. DO NOT use this letter in any subsequent guesses.

Strategy for Beginners

  • Your first word is the most critical. Its purpose is to gather the maximum amount of information (Green and Yellow letters) possible. If the game typically uses 5-letter words, a word with 3 vowels (A, E, I, O, U) and 2 common consonants (R, S, T, L, N) is ideal.
  • After your first guess, you have your initial color map. Your next step is to use the Yellow letters you found and test them in new positions.
  • Look at the pattern of the solved letters (Greens) and consider what common English letter combinations fit the gaps (e.g., "-IGHT", "ST-NG").
  • On the virtual keyboard, the letters you have used will also be color-coded. Use the keyboard to quickly filter out all the Gray letters so you only think of words using the remaining possibilities.
  • If you are stuck, return to the initial hint. If the word is a type of animal, for example, and you have "_ R _ _ N," words like "CRANE," "TRAIN," or "BRAIN" can be narrowed down to "CRANE" based on the category.
