Crissle Crossle

What Is Crissle Crossle?

Crissle Crossle is a word-guessing game that borrows the idea from the famous Wordle. If you haven't heard of this title, it's a puzzle game challenging players to find a secret 5-letter English word within 6 tries. Drawing inspiration from this phenomenon, Crissle Crossle resembles the original version in some aspects.

Both will require players to find a five-letter English word, but the way players find the hidden word of Crissle Crossle will be more overwhelming than in Wordle. In detail, another word will be inserted in the game to distract players from revealing the correct word.

However, coming with a more challenging puzzle, this variant will offer players more hints than in the original. Yet, is the increased number of hints enough for you to find the correct word? Only you know the answer!

How To Play The Crissle Crossle Game?

The Crissle Crossle game's layout will be divided into two parts, but they are connected to each other. Your mission is to find the hidden word in the Crissle column and try to understand the clues as well as the distraction given in the Crossle column. You will have 8 tries to determine the correct word concealed in the Crissle column.

To make your guess, you will type a 5-letter English word in the Crissle column and press Enter to submit your answer. Then, a random five-letter will also be filled in the Crossle column.

Besides, you will see the letters in the Crissle column turn to one of the yellow, green, or gray colors, whereas the color of letters in the Crossle color will always be blue. What are the colors' meanings?

Explanation Of Colors In The Crissle Crossle Game

There are five cases with separate meanings for colors applied to letters in both columns:

  • If the green letter in the Crissle column stays in the exact spot of the word in the Crossle column, it may not be a part of the hidden word.
  • If the yellow letter contained in the Crissle column also appears in the blue word, it may not be included in the hidden word.
  • If the green letter in the Crissle column is not included in the blue word or contained but in another position, it will appear in the secret word.
  • Similarly, the yellow letter of the Crissle column stands in a similar position neither in the Crossle word nor the Crossle word; it is contained in the solution word. Yet, it will lie in another position.
  • The gray color is applied to letters that are not contained in both words.
