An Overview of Rock Heardle

Calling all the rock fans out there! Let us introduce you to a new game that surely keeps you entertained all the time — Rock Heardle. As the name suggests, this title is a spin-off of the classic Heardle game—a legend in the music genre. But now, it will revolve around rock only, which is a real paradise for rock fans to chill.

Every day, a random song will be selected to be the secret song of the game. It can be a timeless piece of music or a trendy track, and your job is to figure it out. They are copyrighted so that you can have a worry-free and fun playing time. If you listen to rock music frequently, this might be a walk in the park!

How To Play The Rock Heardle Game

In the beginning, you will see 6 rows on the screen, equivalent to 6 allowed guesses. There is a hidden 30-second track, but you can only listen to the first second of the song.

If you have the answer in mind, type it into the bar below and hit “Submit.” The good news is that you don’t have to remember the whole title. Simply enter the first few letters of the song’s name or even the artist, and the system will give some suggestions in the drop-down menu. The fewer tries you use, the higher the score you earn.

When your answer is incorrect, the game automatically plays more of the track to give you more hints. If you can't think of any name with the first note, then hit “Skip” to unlock more of the song. But each time you skip, the unlocked duration will be different:

  • 1st skip: unlock 1 second
  • 2nd skip: unlock 2 more seconds
  • 3rd skip: unlock 3 more seconds
  • 4th skip: unlock 4 more seconds
  • 5th skip: unlock 5 more seconds
  • 6th skip: unfortunately, you lose if you skip 6 times. Then, the system will give you the correct title of the day and play the whole 30 seconds.

    Tips To Play The Game

  • Don’t rush. You have an entire day, so listen to the track again and again before deciding to skip.
  • Turn up the volume or use headphones. This allows you to listen to the song more clearly, making it easier to figure out its name.
  • Listen to both modern and old-school rock songs to know as many titles as possible.
